Who We Are
Mark Russo has been creating exceptional kitchens and baths for residences throughout the Midwest for more than 40 years. His extensive body of work also includes commercial and specialty design projects, such as casework for the Douglas Dawson Art Gallery in Chicago, the visitor center at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Cedar Rock State Park near Quasqueton, and the National Park Service’s Effigy Mounds visitor center in Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
Mark began his career in 1977 as McGregor Woodworks in McGregor, Iowa, designing and building custom kitchens, baths, and fine casework. After decades as a skilled woodworker, he shifted his focus to design and relocated to Iowa City in 2002. Over the years, his work has been recognized numerous times by the Iowa City Historic Preservation Commission for its craftsmanship and respect for historic integrity.
Erica Kite joined Mark Russo Kitchen and Bath Design in 2018, bringing a complementary design perspective and a background in Interior Design. She works closely with clients to translate ideas into cohesive, functional spaces and helps guide each project from concept to completion. Together, Mark and Erica collaborate on designs that balance timeless craftsmanship with modern living.
